Who We Publish?

ebonyLotus publishes the work of true artists who are passionate about the art of writing, their desire to touch lives and telling their story. Every poet and author cannot write every poem or story, and so it is true that every poet and author will not be a perfect fit for ebonyLotus Publishing.

We reserve the right to be selective. Rather than carry a long list of artists, we prefer to publish a maximum of eight (8) high quality, literary artists per year.

To be considered for ebonyLotus Publishing, we require a face to face interview to discuss your work, your motivations and your goals.

Why We Publish?

The publishing industry, like many others, has gotten pretty rigid, especially for first time authors and poets. To self-publish has become the alternative to dealing with the turn of the industry, getting lost amongst all the many influences and it guarantees the monumental moment of seeing your work in print. ebonyLotus assists self- publishers with the process of reaching their goal of becoming published authors on their own terms, without the restrictions traditional publishing companies put on today's authors. Our work, as artists, is our soul and ebonyLotus does not believe it is to be altered in the name of publishing.

When We Publish?

ebonyLotus accepts submissions between the months of December and May for "harvest" publication (September - November)
